The LG Watch Urbane 2 LTE is the newest and the soon-to-be most in-demand smartwatch for the tech-savvy generation. The ultimate competitor to the Apple Watch in terms of value and design was launched on Nov. 16, Monday.

Both the Apple Watch and Google Android Wear are basically watches with MP3 players when out of connection. Yet, smartwatches in today's generation have changed.

The Star Online reported that starting this week, the newest operating system for Android Wear will be available. The LTE/4G network is now integrated into smartwatches for cellular connection capability. It will allow you to interact using your watch by sending and receiving messages. Even in the absence of your smartphone, you can still take or make calls.

"No more worrying about Bluetooth or WiFi - your watch will automatically switch to a cellular connection when you're out of range," Peter Ludwig, the manager for Android Wear Product, explained.

By the end of November, the first gadget to derive the feature will arrive. The LG Watch Urbane will be out in the market with its incredible features.

The latest Android Wear device with LTE capability must have an original hardware and software installation.

Unfortunately, the features for the newest Android Wear device will not be incorporated into the world's first luxury Swiss-made smartwatch and another recently launched Android Wear device, the TAG Heuer Connected, which costs US$1,500.

Wearable devices keep on rolling out in the technological scene. These smartwatches are getting more innovative and revolutionary.

According to PR Newswire, Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, talked about LG's approach to their latest smartwatch.

"The wearable category is still in its infancy and we plan to continue introducing exciting devices that appeal to a diverse audience," Cho said.

The LG Watch Urbane 2 delivers promising features for a wearable device. It has a built-in speaker and wears 480 by 480 resolution display. The LG Watch Urbane 2 also functions with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.
