Things are going to continue to heat up in the new episode of "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 as Owen's (Kevin McKidd) mysterious conflict with Nathan Riggs (Martin Henderson) continue.

In the previous episode, the viewers witnessed Owen experiencing PTSD again after encountering someone from his past in the character of Nathan. Owen then confronted the new chief of surgery, Bailey (Chandra Wilson) and said that she was making a big mistake for hiring Nathan as a new doctor. Everyone was wondering what Owen's issues were with the new doctor, until he revealed to Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) that he hates Nathan and that they had a past together.

According to International Business Times, in episode 8 of "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12, the viewers will slowly learn what happened between Owen and Nathan and why the former hates the latter so much.

Design & Trend reports that McKidd said that in the new episode, the viewers will only get more information about his relationship with Nathan, but it won't reveal all of it. McKidd added that Owen's past with Nathan will show something different about him, and the viewers will have a glimpse of a different side of Owen once they find out the real reason behind their conflict.

Elsewhere, another favorite couple in the show will have progress in their relationship as Jackson (Jesse Williams) and April (Sarah Drew) may get back together after what happened in the previous episode. In episode 7, the couple agreed to have dinner together to talk about their divorce, but after dinner, they ended up sleeping together. Will this be the beginning of their reconciliation?

In other news, it was reported that Maggie (Kelly McCrary) will struggle to keep everything professional with Andrews (Giacomo Gianniotti) in the hospital. Meanwhile, Jo (Camilla Luddington) will start having problems with her relationship as she questions Alex's (Justin Chambers) priorities.

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 episode 8 winter finale will air on ABC this week.
