After going to South Sudan to deal with some issues, the team is back in the headquarters, and a lot of emotional scenes are going to happen in the new episode of "NCIS" Season 13.

In episode 8, someone from Tony DiNozzo's (Michael Weatherly) past appeared, as Jeanne Benoit (Scottie Thompson) asked the help of the team to save her husband, who is a doctor that was kidnapped in South Sudan. The episode ended with Jeanne's husband's safe return and also the closure between her and Tony.

According to International Business Times, in the new episode of "NCIS" Season 13, the team will be dealing with a case that is closer to home as a petty officer will ask the help of the team after his murder case was dismissed due to mishandled evidence.

According to the report, the officer will volunteer to be court marshaled and will prove that he did his job properly and that he is not responsible for any mishandled evidence. In the new promotional video for "NCIS" Season 13 episode 9, the officer can be seen submitting to the team so that he can be taken under arrest, and Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) can also be seen interrogating the said officer.

Meanwhile, Ecumenical News reports that Ellie Bishop's (Emily Wickersham) will continue to struggle as the trailer suggests that her marriage to Jake (Jamie Bamber) is on the rocks. In episode 8, the couple was seen having problems as Bishop had an intense conversation with her husband on the phone.

According to the report, things will go from bad to worse in the new episode, and this will lead to Ellie's decision to spend the holidays in her hometown in Oklahoma. Gibbs will reportedly tag along with her as he is also struggling to get past the traumatic events that happened when he got shot in the first part of the season.
