One Direction outpaced Justin Bieber in the race to this week's UK no. 1 album.

The heartthrobs exceeded Bieber's "Purpose" a halfway point, according to an article on the Billboard.com. They might earn their fourth UK number one after "Take Me Home," "Midnight Memories," and "Four" if the Directioners' sales continue.

One Direction's fifth album, "Made In The A.M." is currently having more than 14,000 sales than the Canadian superstar's "Purpose." The said album will be the boy group's last album before they go on hiatus this coming Spring 2016, which could be one of the biggest reasons why the fans are hyped to buy more.

Right now, Justin Bieber is trailing with his new single "Sorry" which is in thin margin against Adele's "Hello" with 150 sales. With this status, she might topple her top spot after three weeks. Although it seems Bieber could hardly surpass the lead of Adele, there is still a possibility that he could dominate in Top 5 with his second single, "Love Yourself" that has just popped in to the Top 5.
