A new report about Samsung's next-generation smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S7, has surfaced on Wednesday saying that the upcoming handset will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip and Exynos 8890. The phone's model numbers were also leaked earlier this week. The list model numbers are said to have been sourced from Sinaimg. The list contains several versions of the phones for Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T and other U.S cellular models, iDigital Times said.

"If accurate, Samsung would likely outfit U.S. models of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge with the Qualcomm Snapdragon chip, as it has done in the past. This makes us skeptical of the rumor because it lists the AT&T and T-Mobile models as having the Exynos 8890 chip. However, anything is possible. After performance issues with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 in 2015, Samsung put its own Exynos 7420 chip in all models of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge," the report said.

Listed below are the several smartphone model numbers of Samsung Galaxy S7 categorized by chip and carrier, according to the report.

It is possible that these new devices might come with a display size larger than the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge since it would be rather inconvenient to use a keyboard cover on a device with a 5.1-inch display," Sam Mobile reports.
