27-year-old real estate broker Kinga Tabares was arrested by the New York Police Department after allegedly stealing a cab.

According to the Huffington Post, Tabares was arrested by the NYPD early Friday morning in the neighborhood of Chelsea after the police officers found her on the driver's seat of a Yellow Toyota Taxi.

The New York Post reported that Tabares and a friend of hers boarded the taxi and was behaving inappropriately. Ronald Desir, the driver of the taxi, said to NY Post that Tabares "was so drunk, she didn't know where she was going," and her friend was the "normal" one of the two.

Because Tabares was acting wildly and refused to pay the bill, Desir made a detour to the 13th Precinct station house. While the 50-year-old driver was inside the station seeking help, a witness spotted Tabares boarding the driver's seat of the taxi and running off, according to the report of DNAinfo.

"When I came back outside, they were taking off," said Desir.

Police caught up with Tabares several blocks away from the police station and then saw her vomit as they approached the car. When they got near Tabares, the officers noticed that the real estate broker reeked of alcohol and had watery-bloodshot eyes.

Tabares was taken to Bellevue Hospital but refused to undergo the breathalyzer test.

The New York Post tried to contact Tabares to get her side. She claimed that details about her stealing a taxi cab was 'completely false' and that 'there [was] more to this story.'

"I'm not speaking about it until there's further investigation," said Tabares. Her lawyer, Sean Parmenter, also refused to give any further comments regarding the arrest and said that he is till looking into the case.

Tabares was charged with driving under the influence, grand theft auto and grand larceny. She was released from prison after paying bail and is scheduled to come back in court on Nov. 19.
