The rivalry between Severide (Taylor Kinney) and his superior, Capt. Patterson (Brian White), will get out of hand in the new episode of "Chicago Fire" season 4.

In the previous episode, Severide was under fire with Patterson even when Patterson was responsible for a serious mistake which he did in the last firefighting incident of the team. MNR Daily reports that In the last mission they were in, Patterson told Severide that he thought that he was the one who made the wrong call and then he punished him for insubordination.

In the new promotional video for "Chicago Fire" Season 4 episode 7, Severide and Patterson can be seen arguing when they find a man unconscious and bleeding. Severide can be heard suggesting to his superior how they can save the man, but Patterson tells him that he does not need his opinion to do his job.

With that, Severide is now motivated to climb up the ladder and reclaim his former position as lives are now in danger because of his rift with Patterson. It was also revealed that in the upcoming episode, Severide's father, to be played by Treat Williams, will be giving him a visit, and it was said that he has something that Severide could use against Patterson.

Meanwhile, Venture Capital Post reports that Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker) will be involved in another trouble as his neighbor asks him for a favor he will not be able to refuse. In the official synopsis for episode 7, it was said that Boden will be involved in some kind of trouble after suffering in episode 6, when Chief Ray Riddle (Fredric Lehne) plotted something against him to put him in jail. Despite that, Boden is said to put the pieces together and will discover why he was set up in the first place.
