Game developer Capcom is planning to release a second wave of DLC for the popular fighting video game, "Street Fighter V." The game's producer Yoshinori Ono has confirmed that there will be an upcoming DLC if the game is "selling well," a report from iDigital Times said.
"Street Fighter V producer Yoshinori Ono acknowledged the numerous requests for Street Fighter EX characters, but Capcom does not own the rights to the Arika developed characters, therefore, it is unlikely they'll appear in Street Fighter V," IGN said.
Capcom's Brand Director Matt Dahlgren disclosed that the company and the "Street Fighter V" game developers have formulated a long-term strategy for the title.
"I think we're just going to watch how things progress. We don't want to get too far ahead of ourselves. We do have very ambitious plans for Street Fighter 5 and a very long term strategy. We'd like to continue as long as we can, but we'll have to see how the product does," Dahlgren told Gamespot in an interview.
Dahlgren shared that part of the company's "long-term" strategy that will be implemented is giving appropriate rewards to players.
"You're never going to be forced to purchase an upgrade pack or another disc-based product. We wanted to respect the early adopters and take care of them throughout the lifespan of the game," he said, as quoted in the report.
Aside from this, Dahlgren mentioned that the game's "balance adjustment" will be rolled out for free, according to PlayStation Lifestyle Net.
"For the first time in franchise history we're going to allow all balance adjustments to be available free of charge, so we're treating it as a platform. If you purchase the game, you'll be able to upgrade to the content throughout its lifespan and you're never going to be punished if you take a break from playing the game," he said as quoted in the report.
"Street Fighter V" is slated to be released in early 2016 for Playstation 4 and PC.
