The latest DOTA 2 Long-Form Comic is now available to DOTA 2 enthusiasts for free.

"He's big. He's red. He's got an Axe. Also his name's Axe. His hobbies? Most of them involve axes and the act of axing things with an axe. Plus he's now in his very own sixty-page comic," read the DOTA 2 Blog. "Is an axe involved somehow? Will Axe use it? Is Luke Skywalker a villain now? Is that why he's not in the trailers? Get the answers to all but those last two questions in 'The Last Castle' Axe Comic," the blog continued.

The comic features sixty-pages that follow the story of Axe and his companion Goodkind, a bard, as they travel in search of a magical treasure that is being stored in the impregnable Fortress of Valhessi and is being guarded by five unstoppable Zonggom warriors.

The story can be easily grasped by its reader. The combination of jampacked action scenes and the hilarious exchange of lines between Axe and Goodkind make the comic a good read.

"While Dota 2 isn't typically known for its story, this is only the latest in a line of official comics set in the game's universe. Previous issues have largely focused on in-game events or items," wrote Steven Strom of IGN. "At several dozen pages long The Last Castle has more in common with the very first comic, Are We Heroes Yet?, by Half-Life scribe Marc Laidlaw and Jim Murray. Both sport full-length side stories independent of the game's seasonal activities."

According to IGN, the comic was promised as part of The International 2015 Dota 2 championship. The then-unnamed comic was promised to be unlocked as a stretch goal in order to urge players to continually contribute to the TI 5 prize pool.

Along with 'The Last Castle Comic,' an Axe Immortal Item and a bonus of a Soaring Cache Treasure will also be received by players who own The International 2015 Compendium.
