Snoop Dogg is one smooth helper as he volunteered to distribute around 1,500 turkeys to underprivileged families in Inglewood. What most of us don't know is that this is the second time the rapper has helped pass out Thanksgiving meals to families in LA, a news article from The Hollywood Reporter stated.

Snoop Dogg joined Mayor James Butts last Thursday in a giveaway that happened in an indoor arena in Inglewood. Families came by the hundreds just to get their traditional Thanksgiving treat and of course to be able to meet and greet the 44-year-old rapper.

The rapper, who is known for his hits "Drop It Like It's Hot" and "Young, Wild & Free," was also very happy to meet his fans. People came to take pictures with the rapper and everyone seemed to have a really great time.

Last year, Snoop Dogg asked the city about what he could do to give back to the community. His production crew is headquartered in LA and so he thought he would do something nice to some underprivileged folks there.

The mayor himself suggested that the rapper assist in giving out turkeys for Thanksgiving. During the first time Snoop helped give away turkeys, they managed to pass out 800 turkeys to families.

Unknown to many, Snoop Dogg is one of the most charitable rappers in the industry. According to a post on the website Look to the Stars, he once held an auction to help raise money for Habitat For Humanity for the program Operation Home Delivery Fund. He also supports charities such as Operation USA, The Black Eyed Peas Foundation, The Healing Circle and Voice Against Violence to name a few.
