Justin Bieber has found himself an unlikely ally. Courtney Love came to the "Purpose" singer's defense when he was given a lot of flak from Kurt Cobain fans for wearing a Nirvana shirt to the recently concluded American Music Awards.
The Daily Mail reported that Nirvana super fans immediately pounced on the "What Do You Mean" singer, but they were all silenced when Courtney herself tweeted: "You're cool in my book @justinbieber xc." The popstar paired the grunge shirt with distressed jeans and white sneakers.
It was a big night for the Biebs as he closed the show with an explosive medley of his hit songs from his latest album. He also won Best Collaboration for his EDM hit, "Where Are U Now" with Diplo and Skrillex. Additionally, people were waiting for some interaction between him and Selena Gomez now that they are rumored to have gotten back together. After footage of him serenading the "Good for You" singer with "My Girl," reports have surfaced that they were urging the AMAs production staff to switch the seating arrangement so they could be beside each other. However, there was very little to no interaction between the two pop stars on the said broadcast -- much to the disappointment of viewers. An official report has yet to be made regarding their alleged reconciliation.
His latest album "Purpose" is probably his best selling yet! Slate reported that Bieber just broke a 51-year-old record that "The Beatles" previously held. It now holds the record for having the most number of songs simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100, with 17/18 tracks charting. The Beatles' record only had 14 songs. Justin Bieber also overtook Drake's record as well. His album also debuted at No. 1 at the Billboard 200. Despite One Direction's valiant efforts to outperform Justin, the Beliebers have helped their idol garner the best album sales for 2015.
