The mid-season finale for "The Blacklist" season 3 aired last week and the show will be going on a break and will return next year. After being on the run from the FBI and a group of assassins, Liz (Megan Boone) was finally captured and it seems like she will be with Red (James Spader) to where it all began in the show's pilot episode.

During the mid-season finale of "The Blacklist" season 3, Red and Li were on their way to West Virginia expecting that their troubles will soon be over however things got complicated when they went on a rest stop. In the recap done by International Business Times, the Kings o the Highway who is a group of robbers have kidnapped Red and robbed him. When they realized that he was a felon, they thought of giving him up for money. Fortunately, Liz was able to get Red back when she made a deal with the robbers where she exchanged Red for a package which holds the key to exonerating Liz. But in the end of the episode, Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) and his team arrived putting Liz in handcuffs and arresting her.

According to Christian Today, executive producer Jon Bokenkamp revealed in an interview that now that Liz has been captured she will be in much greater danger as the Cabal will most likely target her to stop her from telling the authorities of what she knows. Although Ressler believes they can keep her safe, Bokenkamp said that at some point he will be forced to resort to drastic measures which may mean that he will need Red's help and handle things the "non-traditional" way. He teased that viewers will see Liz in a glass box which was used to hold Red in the pilot episode of the show.

"The Blacklist" season 3 will return on NBC on January 7, 2016.
