Since the departure, or for the use of a better word, since Kevin McHale was axed from the Rockets, several rumors have been linked to the team and its current status. According to a new rumor, which is still connected to the players-only meeting, a tension is looming in the background within the Rockets' roster. It was recently reported that the star center player for the team, Dwight Howard, is not happy with his team. According to Yibada, "Dwight Howard could walk away from the Houston Rockets before this season's trade deadline amid building tensions within the Rockets organization." This tension is of course in a way rooted in the "James Harden and Kevin McHale Drama." And to somehow give emphasis on the real score on what is really happening within the franchise, SportsBlog mentioned that:

"The meeting was centered on clearing the air and communication within the players as reported by ESPN. But according to Sam Amick and Jeff Zillgitt of USA Today, one of the center pieces of the players-only meeting was unhappiness with Rockets superstar James Harden's style of play. The report revealed that Harden's 'aloofness' has frustrated his teammates, with McHale taking the brunt of the issue."

It is not a secret that Howard does not like to be in a team having such issues, thus it would be more likely that the demand for a trade would soon materialize. On an in-depth analysis posited by Marc Cantave of SportsBlog, he cited the shortcomings of Howard on the offensive end of his game. But according to Cantave, "Howard is definitely an issue, but there may be a bigger one with Harden and his ego."

With this rumor coming to fore, fans cannot help but comment on why the Rockets management is seemingly being managed by its players and their demands. And if indeed the trade rumor linking Howard is true, then it would not take much time for this team to shatter from the inside if changes will not be made from within. And lastly "if Harden defended harder, Houston would have won more, and his teammates would've been happier," said Dan Feldman of NBC Sports via Yibada. And a turn of event would likely not result into any trade deal.
