"Dancing With the Stars" season 21 will officially name a new champion on Tuesday night.

On Monday, the remaining contestants performed a series of dances during the first half of the two-day finale episode.

According to Buddy TV, Australian conservationist Bindi Irwin and professional dance partner Derek Hough almost got the Mirrorball trophy up their sleeves.

Each of the contestants and their partners performed two dances. One of which is the judges' choice, and then their freestyle routines.

Carlos PenaVega and Witney Carson performed the Foxtrot with the help of Bruno Tonioli. They received a perfect score for their dance.

Alek Skarlatos and Lindsay Arnold received 27 points for their Rumba routine. Carrie Anne Inaba was the one who helped them out.

Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess performed a jive routine, and received a perfect score. Julianne Hough helped them out.

Irwin and Hough performed the quickstep with the help of Inaba which earned then a perfect score of 30.

Meanwhile, the next round of dances earned all of the four remaining contestants perfect scores.

Unfortunately, one of the contestants had to say goodbye on Monday night. Fans were surprised to see PenaVega booted off from the competition.

To make things worse, fans were disappointed to see Skarlatos still in the running for the coveted Mirrorball trophy.

One fan @TheEditor wrote, "Alek got a 27 for that nonsense? Let's just give Carlos, Nick and Bindi all 60s tonight and move on."

In other news, some fans also slammed the judges on the show for favoring Skarlatos over PenaVega when he wasn't even half as good as him, according to the Daily Mail.

Following the announcement, PenaVega said, "It has been life changing, my marriage is so much stronger, I have made some amazing friends and I have learned so much about myself.

"Dancing With the Stars" season 21 will air its finale episode on Tuesday night at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
