Microsoft and Sony are now working on their upcoming Xbox Two and PlayStation5 consoles. The two devices are due to be released before the end of the decade.
Although the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 have existed for 7 years in the mainstream, Xbox One and PlayStation4 won't be around for long. There are high chances that they are going to be replaced by the upcoming Xbox Two and PlayStation 5 sometime in 2019.
Previous two devices will be replaced earlier than expected because the current generation of consoles will not be able to handle the new games properly and that there will be better games in terms of graphics. In other words, the specs of the Xbox One and PlayStation4 will become outdated as reported by Neurogadget.
The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will not be able to run at 4K resolution because they don't have the processing power for it while the upcoming Xbox Two and Plantation 5 will be able to run games at 4K resolution. According to rumors both Xbox Two and PlayStation 5 will be revealed probably in 2018 and it will come with some awesome specifications. It will take 1 to 2 years for players to start switching from their Xbox One or PlayStation 4 consoles to the new ones.
This is to remind everyone that the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles were released in 2013 and just after two years, the developers released games exclusively for these two consoles.
According to Techspot, even though the PlayStation 4 and Xbox one haven't hit yet their prime after two years, Sony and Microsoft are already working on their successors. In fact, the development of the upcoming PlayStation 5 and Xbox Two consoles is already underway.
The lifecycle of premium console should be in the mainstream for about seven years. But Sony and Microsoft are expected to break this cycle and will make a replacement with a new one ahead of schedule due to a number of factors.
