"Pretty Little Liars" recently aired a "Five Years Forward" special and PLL fans were even more intrigued to see what happens after the five-year time jump. Now that the mystery surrounding A/Charles DiLaurentis' identity has been solved, will the ABC Family drama series come to an end in Season 7?

"Pretty Little Liars" Season 6B is set to return with all new episodes in just a couple of months and the ABC Family series recently aired a "Five Years Forward" special, which revealed what took place in between those years. MTV News listed several highlights of the show's special episode, including the fact that none of the fans' favorite couples are already together.

While Aria and Ezra, Spencer and Toby, Hanna and Caleb are reportedly no longer together and have moved on to their careers and some have already found new love interests, the same cannot be said of Emily and Paige. According to the outlet, 'Paily' fans may not immediately expect to see Emily and Paige back together when the show resumes in 2016. However, the special episode seemingly hinted that there is still a chance for them to work things out.

"I think they might be dating again," Ali told Mona about Emily and Paige.

While PLL is entering a new storyline (one that is without A/Charles/Charlotte), fans may expect that this new story and mystery can only go as far as Season 7. In an interview, series creator Marlene King hinted that the five-year time jump storyline will "likely end at the end of season seven," Inquisitr reported.

"So it's a great final, gigantic mystery twist - I think it's the biggest we've ever had. And that feels like season seven is probably a good time to end that story," she said.
