The Korean Game Rating Board has a history for leaking new "Resident Evil" console versions before the official announcements. They did it back in October 2012 prior to the release of "Resident Evil: Revelations" for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and there is a high chance that they will do it again this time.
Gematsu confirms that the Korean Game Rating Board has rated "Resident Evil 6" for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
This information does not necessarily serve as a confirmation but based on history, there is a fat chance that Capcom is going to release a revamped version of the game for the newer consoles.
Ever since the original launch of "Resident Evil 6", the game found plenty of success but has been suffering from a downward spiral behavior in sales. Cheatsheet says,"Capcom has been milking the franchise quite a bit in recent years with spinoffs and remakes, it would be no surprise to see RE6 launch on modern consoles."
Will Capcom pull it off while a remastered version of Resident Evil Zero is underway? It has also been recently confirmed that actions towards doing a "Resident Evil 2" remake have commenced. Is it really a good move to launch these versions in such close dates?
For sure, "Resident Evil 6" will undergo a total HD remake for Playstation 4 and Xbox One but as to when it will be released is the real question. How close is it?
The gamer community in both Playstation and Xbox factions are collectively looking forward for this HD remake. Whatever Capcom is trying to do now, they are doing a great job of attracting attention and keeping gamers on the edge of their seats.
Capcom's plans are still unclear since they have not released concrete statements about the rumored remake. In th meantime, the gamers should just sit back and wait on Capcom's official announcement.
