The former Malibu residence of "The Beautiful Mind" producer Brian Grazer has reportedly hit the rental market for $175,000 a month.
Located on the celeb-studded Malibu Colony Road, the house recently sold to anonymous buyers for $17.35 million. The price was the second-most expensive sale of the year in Malibu.
According to the Trulia Blog, Grazer purchased the place in October 2003 for $13.5 million. He first put the house up for sale in 2007 and relisted it for $18.95 million in September 2013 after giving it a prominent makeover.
The anonymous buyers purchased the house for a little under the asking price and just within two months of buying have put it on the rental market.
Listing records of the home state that the residence is a three-story, 6,067-square-foot beachfront compound comprised of five bedrooms and eight bathrooms. The Mediterranean style home has beamed ceilings, paneled hardwood flooring and floor-to-ceiling windows and slider doors.
The home has an office, a media room, a state-of-art gym and a gourmet kitchen, too. The residence has an indoor pool and an eight-car garage. The house also offers decks that open out to the ocean.
"Offering a unique luxurious beach lifestyle not replicated or experienced anywhere else in the world," the home's listing description reads. "You will find everything you need to relax, play, celebrate, and enjoy your extraordinary stay at this fully-furnished residence."
According to Zillow, the "renting-out" move is a common one as the spring season attracts tourists to Malibu. Last year, Leonardo DiCaprio offered his waterfront pad for $75,000 a month after failing to sell it. It took the "Titanic" actor several attempts to finally unload the place.
Several other celebrities, such as Matthew Perry, Cindy Crawford, Steven Spielberg and Eric Gold, put their Malibu pads up for rent last year.
