Sword Art Online: The Lost Song is the continuation of the Sword Art Online RE: Hollow Fragment that can be played in PlayStation 4. The game follows the story that is based on the popular anime and light novel series by Reki Kawahara.

The game is all about a group of gamers who are on a quest to complete the content in order to continue to the expansion.

According to the review article posted in Just Push Start, 'Sword Art Online: The Lost Song' has two serious faults in its story.

"The first is that it starts to become a joke when you realize you're playing a mediocre game that's about people thinking the same game is amazing," read the post. "The other issue is that the story does a lot of telling, when it should be showing. Like one of the events has you clear a dungeon and one of the characters notes the drop you got was super rare, some of the story segments note various mechanics that are not actually present in the game and things like this."

During combat, the player can use weapons or magic to attack their enemy. One should take note that certain monsters have unique weaknesses against a certain type of weapon or magic. An example of this is a monster wearing an armor ban which can be tough against physical attack but can be very weak against magic.

Additional features of the game include the small, but open world that can be explored while flying, customization of character, and the online co-op and versus play during the extra quest that are not included in the main story.

"If you love the characters of the anime series, then you will enjoy playing through Lost Song's plot and silly humor," wrote Jakejames Lugo of the Koalition. "But this isn't the definitive Sword Art Online game you wish it would be."
