Will Smith has a successful career, which includes facing aliens, robots and zombies. He is also blessed with a wonderful family. He is happily married to wife Jada Pinkett Smith. Now, he wants to turn his eyes politics and it's not just on the screen but also in real life.

Speaking to Hollywood Reporter in his first podcast interview ever, Smith said himself that he may join the political arena in the future.

He said, "I'm a climber, so if I see a mountain, I have to climb it. I'm not a camper; I don't like hanging in one place too long. So I think, at this point, I'm elevating my ability to be useful in the world.

I think that that's what my grandmother always hoped, that I would make myself useful to people in this lifetime. [...] And, you know, as I look at the political landscape, I think that there might be a future out there for me. They might need me out there. This is the first year that I've been incensed to a level that I can't sleep, you know? So I'm feeling that at some point, in the near future, I will have to lend my voice to the conversation in a somewhat different way."

Entertainment Weekly notes that this is not the first time the actor has spoken about the matter. Way back in 2007, before the incumbent President was elected, Smith shared that he has always wanted to be the first black President. He even joked then that Obama stole his idea but he doesn't mind taking his turn after.

Smith is promoting his latest movie, "Concussion," in which he plays the Nigerian-born forensic pathologist who went against NFL for quelling proof that concussions cause long-term harm to players. It can be expected that it would be both a hit and a good movie although the actor humbly said that he finds it difficult to do a hit and freakingly hard to do a good movie.

The film will be released Columbia in the US on Christmas Day. Another notable movies he starred in were "Ali" and "The Pursuit of Happyness."

Do you think "Concussion" will finally land him his Oscar win for Best Actor? Most importantly, do you think he has a shot in politics?
