Game developer Supercell has announced that it will add new contents for the popular video game, "Clash of Clans." The company is planning to add "Village Guards" in an attempt to boost the game's defense strategy alongside with the power-up shields. Using the game's village guards will help avid fans and players keep their villages safe from various attacks, a report from iDigital Times said on Friday.
"The Village Guard is a power-up that automatically applies itself when a Clash of Clans player's shield wears off. Depending on their rank, the Village Guard will prevent anyone from attacking a Clash of Clans player for 15 minutes if they're a Champion 1 or below, 1 hour if they're a Titan III, 2 hours if they're a Titan II or 3 hours if they're either a Titan I or Legend. The Village Guard will do this by making it as if a Clash of Clans player is online during that period of time. This new addition will give Clash of Clans players some leeway when it comes to disconnections or shields running out," the report said.
According to iDigital Times, players can actually gain the Village Guard power-up in two ways by buying "2 hour version of the Village Guard at the store for 10 gems, or to be attacked by someone who inflicts less than 30-percent damage on a Clash of Clans player's base." By doing so, players will be able to "restock their bombs and wake their heroes before being attacked again."
Aside from the Village guards, the game's sneak peek which was released earlier this week has revealed that players' can "Clash of Clan" builder will be using a new defense strategy. It was said that Supercell will roll out a new update for the game's shield breaks.
"On top of which, there will also be some changes that will be introduced in the other areas of the game like the shields (including the exciting new "Village Guard" concept), session timers and Personal Break, multiplayer matchmaking, league bonuses, and high-level Trophy calculations," Christian Post said.
