Kohei Horikoshi's manga "My Hero Academia" has been announced earlier last month that it heading in the small screen as a new anime series in Japan. This time the showrunner has revealed voice actor Nobuhiko Okamoto to do the role of Katsuki BakugÅ.
Anime News Network reports that the upcoming TV animation of "My Hero Academia" has already not only released recently the character design on its official portal, but also announced the voice actor that will perform the role of the villain.
ANN says that the said announcement was made via the #53 issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump. On Monday, the weekly magazine revealed that voice actor "Nobuhiko Okamoto will voice Katsuki BakugÅ in the television anime of KÅhei Horikoshi's 'My Hero Academia' (Boku no Hero Academia) manga." Nobuhiko Okamoto is said to participate in "the Jump Super Stage event at Jump Festa 2016 in December." Okamoto is also identified as Eiiji Niizuma in "Bakuman," and Jun Arashiyama in "World Trigger" anime series.
It has also been noted that Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump has also published the character designs for Katsuki, who the main rival of Izuku Midoriya. As reported, both Izuku and Katsuki have known each other since they were small kids in the story of "My Hero Academia."
Crunchyroll also states that prior to Nobuhiko Okamoto, Daiki Yamashita and Kenta Miyake had been cast first as Midoriya and bold superhero All Might, respectively.
Fandom Post also notes that "My Hero Academia" TV animation will be helmed by Crisis series' director, Kenji Nagasaki. It has also been previously announced that the character designs are taken charged by Yoshihiko Umakoshi, and the script will be penned by Yousuke Kuroda.
In case you are not familiar of the "My Hero Academia" manga, the plot states that the world is inhabited by 80% people who have superpowers called "Quirks." The remaining 20% of the population is born as "Quirkless." The main character Izuku Midoriya is one of those who are Quirkless, yet he wanted to become a superhero. Despite that, "All Might, the greatest hero of them all, gives him a chance to change his destiny."
