"The Flash" season 2 will reportedly have a crossover episode with "Supergirl" season 1.

According to Bleeding Cool the hit The CW series could have a crossover episode with the new CBS show that were both created by executive producer Greg Berlanti.

"Expect Supergirl to meet the Flash and the STAR labs crew from her fellow show by May's sweeps week, if CBS orders the last episodes of "Supergirl," the publication reported.

The publication added that the crossover will be done in an attempt to help boost the ratings of the Melissa Benoist starrer.

As of late, nothing has been confirmed yet, but fans are already speculating on the possible storyline that will be featured in the episode.

On Screen Rant's website, some fans commented that it's possible for Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) to have fleeting feelings for Kara Zol-L (Benoist).

Meanwhile, there are also some fans who do not think that a crossover for the two shows would be helpful in any way.

"Hmm, as awesome as this sounds, there are two things: Don't CBS shows have higher ratings than CW simply for the fact of being a larger network? Does it make sense to commission more episodes just to do a crossover? The crossover is contingent upon a full season order, but a full season order depends on higher ratings. So wouldn't that be like putting the cart before the horse?"

Another fan said "no idea" to the idea of releasing a crossover for "The Flash" and "Supergirl."

"No thank you to this idea especially not in Supergirls first season, they need to make the show better before crossing over with The Flash and by association Arrow."

In other new, "The Flash" season 2 is confirmed to have an upcoming crossover episode with "Arrow" season 4.

"The Flash" season 2 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW. "Supergirl" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
