Jon Bon Jovi, the "It's My Life" hitmaker has reportedly relisted his duplex penthouse apartment in Manhattan, New York City, for $37.5 million.
Bon Jovi's residence at 158 Mercer Street was first listed in March 2013 with a lofty $42 million price tag. However, failing to sell over the months, the home took a pricechopper and was listed at $39 million in September that year. Having found no buyer even with a discounted asking price, Jovi took the home off the market in January 2014.
But the home has now returned for a lower asking price and a new realtor. The listing of the plush home lies with Leonard Steinberg and Herve Senequier of Douglas Elliman Real Estate. It was earlier listed with Corcoran Real Estate.
Bon Jovi bought the place for $24 million back in 2007, according to Curbed. The swanky duplex is located at 158 Mercer St, New York. The residence is a 7,452-square-foot condo, with five bedrooms and five full and one half bathroom.
The penthouse apartment offers full views of the city's skyline, has central heating and cooling and comes with an elevator and doorman service.
Fresh listing photos show floor-to-ceiling glass windows, drywall ceilings, hardwood flooring and free indoor-outdoor flow. Floor plans of the home show that an entrance opens into the foyer that leads up to the great room. There is an open kitchen attached to the room. Two bedrooms and a study lie on the right of the great room and two others to the left. The master suite with an attached dressing room also exists on the floor.
A staircase leads up to the upper level, which has a large living room, a media room, an office and a guest room. A kitchen is also attached to the living room. There are two terraces one each at the front and the rear.
Building amenities include 24/7 doorman and concierge services. The listing asserts that the penthouse recently underwent a gut renovation describing it as, "The most exceptional Duplex Penthouse Downtown: Nothing compares to this extraordinary condominium penthouse that hovers over all of Soho with breathtaking, panoramic, protected views, located in the full service New Museum Building on Soho's most desirable cobbled block."
