It is undeniable that the Lakers is having a very serious problem this season. Most experts and NBA enthusiast would comment, that the preference of the Lakers head coach, Byron Scott, over Kobe Bryant is one of the reasons why the team is drenched in the bottom of the Western conference standing.

In connection to the said concern, there have been some rumors already circulating, suggesting that coach Scott would soon be axed by the Lakers management. With the question of who will be the replacement for Byron Scott as Lakers head coach, most Lakers fans would suggest that former Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau should be the one replacing Scott.

However, Lakers fan should not rejoice yet if ever the management will choose to remove Scott and put Thibodeau in the scene, there is still no guarantee that the veteran coach would accept the job. For according to basketballinsiders via yibada, "Thibs would probably pass, if he hasn't already."  If indeed true that Thibodeau would make a pass for the Lakers, then it would likely invalidate another rumor stating that, "Thibodeau has been linked to the Lakers as there was also a rumor that he would be willing to sit out a year and wait for the Lakers job to be open next summer as Byron Scott's contract will run out," as reported by yibada.

Saying no to the Lakers would mean missing out a hefty pay check. However, Steve Kyler of the basketballinsiders via yibada, also made mentioned that "Thibbs is still on Chicago's payroll so he didn't have anything reason to not take the 'ideal' job." And such statement was in the context of Timber Wolves wanting as well the service of Thibodeau.

With all these rumors discussing a change of leadership in the Lakers, it somehow suggests that the management is getting tired of the outcome almost every game. And they are already looking for some solution of the problem outside the box, outside Scott's box.
