Game developer Konami has officially announced on Monday that the popular soccer-inspired video game "Pro Evolution Soccer 2016" will have a free-to-play version. The company said that the "PES 2016's" free version will be rolled out on Dec. 8, both for PlayStation 4 and PS3. It was noted, however, that the free version of the game will not be released for Xbox, a report from Gamespot said.

According to the report, the "Pro Evolution Soccer 2016" free-to-play version is actually an "entry-level version" of the game and it is expected to feature an Exhibition Mode that has seven soccer teams which include Bayern Munich, Juventus, AS Roma, Brazil, France, and the other two teams. Aside from the above-mentioned mode, the game features also both myClub support and a Training mode. The free version of the game will likely have an online and offline play feature. Konami said that the game's free-to-play version will be receiving content update all throughout the duration of the game' season.

In a related news, Polygon reports that a patch for "Pro Evolution Soccer 2016" will be available on Dec. 3. It was said that the game's upcoming patch called Data Pack No.2, will actually incorporate all the transfers that took occurred back in August which is exactly two weeks prior to game's official launch date on Sept. 17.

The patch will also introduce new in-game contents such as the Brazil's Estadio do Maracana stadium and new uniforms of  the international teams from  Germany, Italy and Spain. Fans will be able to witness the game's new cinematic pre-match video which involves "exterior shots and fans lighting fireworks."

"Data Pack No. 2 will add another 50 highly detailed player likenesses into the game, including stars such as Aleksander Mitrovic, Kevin de Bruyne, and Julian Draxler. Additional shoe and ball styles will be introduced, as well as entrance sequences specific to the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana tournaments available in the game," the report said.
