Nina Dobrev's exit in the CW series "The Vampire Diaries" has made her more visible in the media. The headlines are feasting on the 26-year-old ex-TVD star's next role after playing Elena Gilbert on the vampire series.

And it seems that many might see less of the actress in the future, it was reported that Dobrev is currently "playing hard to get" in choosing future roles and movies.

Why is Dobrev being "picky?" Is she still thinking of coming back to the vampire drama and just waiting for the right queue?

According to Kpopstarz, the 26-year-old ex- "Vampire Diaries" actress recent discussion with Interview Magazine admits her "very, very carefully" choosing her future roles in movies or series. Apart from this, Dobrev wants roles that portray more substance that shy away from the teeny-bopper type of stories.

"I don't just want to do things that are the pretty girl with lots of makeup, I want to get into the gritty stuff and get down and dirty and dark and really feed my soul and not my vanity."

"I only want to keep moving up and up in terms of quality and be careful with perception," the 26-year-old added.

Dobrev also talked about how money is not what she's aiming for right now amidst many offers. Hence, said that she willing to wait for the best opportunity. "Like I said earlier, there's been a lot of offers, but I don't need to work right away. I'd rather wait for something really good-to be excited about a role, or a director, or a project. I'm not just going to accept something because it's a lot of money."

It was set clear in the past that Dobrev has no interest in reprising her role in "The Vampire Diaries" series. When asked by Entertainment Weekly, "The Final Girls" actress commented, "That chapter is closed, sadly - bittersweet." Evidently, Dobrev showed that she is now heading a different path in her career and out of the vampire drama.
