Outside, the residence has a large yard, a swimming pool and a sunken spa. The place also has ample parking area.

The listing describes the place as, "Located on the most desirable street above Sunset Plaza, this modern, state-of-the-art estate features exquisite quality of fixtures and furnishings." The home will be shown to pre-qualified buyers only. No open houses are available for the property.

Usually, Streep keeps her personal life quite private. However, her real estate history has been chronicled by many fans. You can check out a video here on the history of her home sales and purchases (until 2010).

Streep is an accomplished actor. She holds the record for grabbing the most number of Academy award nominations in Hollywood. But the beautiful actress has her own insecurities.

In an interview with the folks at the Indiana University, where she was accepting her honorary doctoral degree, she admitted to having doubts about becoming an actress. In fact she thought she was too "ugly" to be on screen!

"Everyone tries to look a cookie-cutter way and actually the people who look different are the ones who get picked up. I used to hate my nose. Now I don't it's OK," Streep said.
