It hasn't been long since Tom Cruise reprised his role as Ethan Hunt in "Mission Impossible 5: Rogue Nation," and yet news of the sixth installment of the film has already hit the World Wide Web.

Christopher McQuarrie, the man behind "Rogue Nation" will be returning to direct, write and produce the film, Hollywood Reporter says. McQuarrie is ready to accept another production of the film and he announced the development of the talks himself via his Twitter account, simply saying, "Mission: Accepted #MI6." "Rogue Nation" was also co-wrriten by McQuarrie and has earned $682.3 million to date.

Once again, Tom Cruise will take the lead and he will be co-producting togetehr with with Bad Robot's J.J. Abrams and Skydance's David Ellison and Dana Goldberg. It will still be under the umbrella of Paramount and Skydance film. Cruise and McQuarrie have an excellent working relationship and the latter is actually known as the former's go-to guy.

According to Deadline, the movie "Rogue Nation" got off to a faster start when it was released this summer at the international box office compared to the franchise's predecessor, 2011's "M:I - Ghost Protocol," but still came up about $12M short of topping it for bragging rights to the franchise's highest gross earned ($694.7M vs. $682.3M).

The "Mission Impossible" film series commenced in 1996 and every 4 years, another installment is released, the latest one was "Rogue Nation." It is a spy action thriller film based on a TV series of the same name.

Other stellar works done by McQuarrie are the scripts for 2014's "Edge of Tomorrow" and 2013's "Jack the Giant Slayer." He was also behind 2012's "Jack Reacher," also starring Tom Cruise as well as other films asuch as "The Edge of Tomorrow" and "Valkyrie." His original screenplay for 1995's "The Usual Suspects," which was his feature debut, won him an Oscar.
