Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton surprised everyone when they opted for divorce. The latter has already come out with his relationship with Gwen Stefani. Through all that, Lambert kept her silence and now, for the first time, after Shelton filed a divorced four months ago, she has finally spoken.
Shelton and Lambert dated for six years before they tied the knot in Texas in 2011. It is still unclear why the two broke up.
In an interview with Cosmopolitan, she shares, "We were together for 10 years, married for four, were very quickly divorced, and are friends. I'm still processing everything and figuring out where to go and what happened."
"[Marriage is] a tough business, and we gave it our best college try... I had a great relationship with an amazing man, so I know what good is. I have a great launching pad for the future. I will never take that for granted," she adds.
She also opened up that if ever she'd marry again, although it is the farthest thing from her mind right now, it should not be about a step in life or a mere piece of paper but rather a lifetime commitment in her heart and the way she feels about someone.
An E! News source says, "Miranda is doing wonderful! She is staying busy and really happy. She is dating and enjoying single life. She is taking things slow and just going with the flow. It's all about her now though. Her friends think she is in a great mind space."
"She can't wait to one day have children, if it's meant to be, and have a husband again. She has not given up on love," the source continues.
Miranda did admit as much about wanting to have a family of her own in the future.
