Since they announced their split in June, the two never failed to amaze the public on how good their parenting is and how amicable they are with each other. However, it seems they still falter once in a while after they spent the Thanksgiving Day apart from each other.
According to a Celeb Dirty Laundry report, Affleck, 43, and Garner, 43, spent the holiday apart, which is very surprising since they have been on speaking terms for the sake of their children despite their high-profile divorce. The site claims that the "Batman" star was pictured downcast as he lit a cigarette alone in a gas station. The report went on to say that the "Miracled From Heaven" star didn't even invite her former husband for the Turkey celebration as they have been fighting over the settlement of their fortune.
Despite the not-so-good Affleck and Garner's updates, a separate report from Perez Hilton claims that Affleck's sighting at the gasoline station was a misinterpretation that triggered speculations that the ex-couple didn't spend the holiday together.
Contrary to the report, the amicable pair spent their Thanksgiving Day together with their kids, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel as well as Affleck's mother, Christine Boldt. "They spent it as a family unit - all for the kids. They had a great time." A close pal of Affleck claimed that "Affleck looked very happy all weekend. He spent a lot of time at the family house."
According to an Us Weekly insider, the latest Affleck and Garner update seems to hint that the ex-couple is still doing their best to be cordial to each other and to always be there for their kids especially on special occasions. The "Daredevil" actress was reportedly pictured smiling and having a pleasant conversation with her ex-mother-in-law in their recent outing. Sources claimed that the family started a morning race and finished the celebration with an early family dinner in Palisades.
There are also reports claiming that the exes are already planning their Christmas celebration together with their children.
