One of the coveted dance talent shows in America is "So You Think You Can Dance" and for many years the show proved to be a showcase of tremendous talent and opportunity for hopefuls.

Although every episode of the show is a must-see spectacle of performances for viewers, it was reported that the last season of "SYTYCD" didn't prove to have strong viewership on targets.

In regards to this, Cartermatt reports briefly about the future of the talent show which may still be unknown until now. According to the article, Fox Network is still not releasing a statement on whether a 13th season is on the works for the show even if the expected auditions for the upcoming contestants is scheduled coming Jan. 2016.

Apart from this, the speculation of the dwindling comeback of the reality dance show grew thick when its Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe is set to appear on "American Idol" for its 15th season. Lythgoe's said appearance of the singing competition is up until Fox has made a decision for the renewal of "So You Think You Can Dance" season 13.

"The news comes as Fox is going down to the wire deciding the fate of Lythgoe's series So You Think You Can Dance. In the past, renewals for the dancing competition have come before the Thanksgiving holiday as auditions typically start in January. The plot for a potential Season 13 pickup of SYTYCD thickened further in early October when Fox bought a couples dancing competition show from former The Voice executive producer Stijn Bakkers and American Idol producer FremantleMedia North America."
