The Hollywood Hills home of Dame Helen Mirren, "The Debt" actress, is still up for rent at $40,000 a month.

The Real Estalker notes that the home hasn't managed to find tenants as yet and is still up for rent.

News of the house hitting the market came in January this year but this is not the first time it is up for rent. The residence was first up for rent in 2007 at $40,000 a month. It resurfaced in 2011 and 2013 respectively for the same amount and is now back again. Not a penny has been reduced from the asking price.

Mirren and her husband Taylor Hackford purchased the home in 1986. The home is a secure and private estate with lush gardens, which is why the property is called "The Garden Estate" by various listing sites.

The home has some Hollywood history attached to it. It was once owned by famous actor Dustin Farnum.

Listing records at Realtor.com states that the residence is a 6,999 square feet, single-family residence sitting on a 6.9-acre lot. The house comprises of five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Designed in Mediterranean style, the property boasts of an infinity pool, a detached guest house and separate servant quarters as well.

The listing urges one to "Discover the magnificent Mediterranean estate that once belonged to Dustin Farnum, Cecil B. DeMille's first great movie star...in a quiet parkland of 6 acres of trees and flowers" adding that the house is "Double gated. secure. Incomparable."

Mirren hit it off big time playing the overtly sensuous Cora Ryan in the sixties' hit movie "The Age of Consent". She received "Damehood" from the Queen of Britain for her outstanding contribution to the Performing Arts in 2003.

With a scintillating career spanning over two decades, Mirren is one of those actors who has aged gracefully. Mirren is all set to grace the theaters soon with the new Stephen Spielberg and Oprah Winfrey produced movie "The Hunderd-Foot Journey." The movie, slated to hit theaters August 8, is a romantic-comedy based on the novel of the same title by Richard C. Morais.
