Despite hopes that Bobby Shmurda will finally get out on bail, his attorneys' sixth attempt on making his release happen was yet another failure. Shmurda was recently at the New York City court in hopes of getting their approval to bond out at $2 million. Looks like he'll still have to face more jail time for the time being while his legal team figures out a new plan to get him out of there.
TMZ reports that the rapper's team was creating a 'bulletproof' plan to successfully post bail, and he was getting assured that he'd finally be out after almost a year locked up. His family also pitched in to make their appeal stronger, as they put the 'Hot Nigga' artist's properties on the line - and all of this is detailed on a 200-page report that contains details on their offer. However, their efforts were denied and they have to face the court again as Shmurda is scheduled to appear again next month.
Although he is set to be in court again soon, Hot New Hiphop reports that this doesn't mean that it'll be for another hearing for his potential release. His team is also waiting for an official statement from the NYC court as to why they rejected his appeal.
The 21-year-old rapper was arrested a year ago alongside his GS9 crew members for allegedly coming together for a conspiracy to commit murder. Some of the other charges were drug possession and multiple shootings. This arrest wasn't his first, as the Brooklyn-based rapper was previously arrested for smoking a Marijuana joint back in October 2014, and back in June 2014 for possession of a weapon. It was a sad Christmas for the young artist as he spent them behind bars.
No word yet on how his case will progress, but this won't mark the end of his legal team's efforts on gaining their young client's freedom.
