Mad Catz, a leading manufacturer company that provides interactive entertainment products, has revealed a new controller for "Street Fighter 5." The popular fighting game's controller features new Fightpads and a portable FightStick for PS 4 and PS3, a report from IGN said on Friday.
"The Street Fighter V specific Tournament Edition 2+ (TE2+) and Tournament Edition S+ (TE-S+) look similar to previous versions of the Mad Catz' FightSticks released since Street Fighter IV launched. However, according to Mad Catz, the new high-end FightSticks will come with fully functional touchpads and L3 and R3 buttons, in addition to the standard eight buttons on the base of the controller," the report said.
According to the report, the recently revealed Street Fighter V TE2+ and TE-S+ FightSticks will be sold for $230 and $200, respectively. Meanwhile, the FightStick Alpha and the FightPad PROs will be sold for $80 and $60 US dollars, respectively.
Players who are interested to own the new controllers can pre-order them on the company's website. The company said that the new controllers will be shipped by February 2016, coinciding with the "Street Fighter 5" official launch date both for the PC and PS4.
"Since 2008, Mad Catz has been working closely with Capcom to create premium fighting game products that resonate with the fans and competitive players. We formally announced our range of products during the GameStop Conference in September of 2008, where among the throng of GameStop managers we unveiled our first prototypes of the Street Fighter IV Arcade FightStick, FightStick Tournament Edition and FightPad for display in our booth," Madz Cat said.
"The FightPad PRO is the evolution of our six-button fighting controller, which takes the floating d-pad concept to the next level in terms of control and precision. Much like it's bigger brother, the FightStick, the FightPad PRO now comes with a bevy of options that allows you to play YOUR style and control the way YOU want. From its different functionality switches and the ability to control using either the high-quality d-pad or analog stick, the FightPad PRO really gives you the form/function to decimate those that stand in your path," the report said.
