2015 has been a good year for Amy Poehler as she will end her year with a star in Hollywood Walk of Fame.
According to variety.com, Amy was awarded of her star due to her busy year with different projects, shows, engagements and recognitions received.
Within this year, Amy was the host of the Golden Globe Awards for the last time with her friend Tina Fey, make everyone cry with the last season of NBC's "Parks and Recreation" in which she received nomination for Emmy Awards in lead actress category six times in a row and joined the premiere of Pixar's "Inside Out" in Cannes. The movie took the top spot during the summer box office and many are still talking about it, expecting to see it in Oscars.
Amy was seen in Netflix comedy "Wet Hot American Summer" and made a comedy feature "The House" with Will Ferrell. She was also the executive producer of Hulu's "Difficult People", Comedy Central's "Broad City", and NBC's "Welcome to Sweden." Currently, she's now awaiting the release of her movie with Tina Fey, "Sisters."
To top it all off, she and Tina will host "Sunday Night Live" final episode of the year. With everything that Amy did this year, her star in the Walk of Fame is agreeably, very much deserved. The actress didn't forget all of her supporters and expressed her gratitude for all the opportunities she had this year.
She said "I always say to myself, 'Next year won't be as busy.' And, um, it keeps getting busier. I like to think that with it my capacity for it all expands."
According to eonline.com, Amy thanked her colleagues and friends for supporting her for the entire year. She also said "Growing up as a daughter of two public school teachers, I knew very little about Hollywood or Los Angeles and I'd never seen the Walk of Fame. I had no brush with greatness. I knew no one that was an actor or writer. I never imagined I would be here, truly. It's a genuine honor."
