It seems as though Kia Motors is working hard to push sales in America with an attempt to persuade customers in believing that Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James really does drive a Kia.

With its new ad campaign, Kia has teamed up with LeBron James to promote the K900 luxury sedan by focusing on debunking "the skepticism among some consumers that Mr. James actually drives a Kia," as reported by the Wall Street Journal.

According to Complex, the new LeBron James Kia Motors commercial features King James accepting a $10 million bet, which someone put on Twitter. Of course, LeBron proves that he does own a Kia by driving to the person's house to claim the bet money.

"We want to show people he actually does drive the car," Kia Motors America's chief operating officer, Michael Sprague, said.

Talking about the commercial's aim to address the growing skepticism, Sprague says: "LeBron is all about being authentic. We are confident we can take the playful approach and prove this is an authentic partnership."

Kia claims that LeBron James - who also happens to be a car enthusiast - was the one to approach the automaker in 2014 and asked if he could possibly drive the Kia K900 before it was even available on the market.

It was in 2014 when Kia Motors came to a four-year deal with King James. Since then, people have turned to criticize and make the partnership the center of jokes on social media. People found it hard to believe that LeBron James would actually drive the Kia.

According to Burns Entertainment and Sports, LeBron James rakes in approximately $45 million per year just for his endorsement deals with major companies including Nike, Coca-Cola, and Samsung.

LeBron James net worth totals approximately $300 million. He reportedly earns a $70 million salary every year.
