Although Apple just recently released the iPhones 6S and "6S Plus", rumors about the next flagship are already on the loose. Not only are we hearing about the new additions Apple will bring to the "iPhone 7", we are also hearing about some of the things the company will remove from the phone.

One of the rumors that came out suggested that Apple is now testing a variety of technologies for their next device. A source says that the company came up with five "iPhone 7" prototypes, each with different features. The said technologies includes USB Type C connector compatible with earphones, wireless charging technology, dual camera, multi Force Touch, and fingerprint recognition. There are also news about Apple experimenting with a low cost display tech known as the AMOLED display.

As for the size of the "iPhone 7", it was said that the company may opt for a thinner design of about 6 mm, which also calls for a headphone jack scare, as this would mean that the new iPhone won't cater to your usual 3.5 mm headjack. Rumor has it that Apple is working on an audio lightning port.

Furthermore with the body alterations, it was also said that the "iPhone 7" will now be officially waterproof. Although the previous generations of iPhones may already be immuned to water submersion, it's better if the company actually claims the feature, making the water resistant body official.

With the slim body rumor also comes the wireless charging rumor, as a thinner body would close the doors for regular chargers, so it would make so much sense if the next iPhone would be wireless charging enabled.

Conclusions

It may be too early to come up with a very reliable report about the "iPhone 7", but if the rumor sources are telling the truth, the "iPhone 7" may be the most 'altered' iPhone yet. The thin body that would result to a different headjack and wireless charging capability, is definitely a major change from the previous iPhones.
