Chris Hemsworth revealed during an interview on "The Graham Norton Show" that he once checked into prison to research his role for "Blackhat."
According to people.com, the "Thor" actor said that he's worried that the inmates might recognize him especially when he removed his cap and his blond hair showed. However, he reassured himself that the inmates might think that they "don't get Thor in here."
"I was researching a film and we had to basically go in and research what the inside of a prison looked like and speak with prisoners who wanted to talk to us. So I assumed that and the moment I started walking through the cells ... I just started getting heckled, 'Yo, Thor's here man. Yo Thor, YO THOR!'," the actor said.
Chris also shared that he did his best to "blend in" but the inmates were still recognizing him and kept on shouting "Yo, come spend some time in my cell baby!"
In a report by ew.com [Entertainment Weekly], Chris went on to explain his nervousness especially that he still had his "Thor" hair back then.
He said "The warden said 'You can't wear your hat,' and so on, and I said, 'OK no worries.' And I thought, 'Oh s-t, they're going to know who I am,'" he explained. "Then I thought, 'No, they don't get Thor in here, they're not going to watch movies,' and, I don't know, I'd never been to prison. So, I assumed that."
When he stepped into the cells, several inmates started calling him "Thor" and called "Thor! Where's your hammer man?' And I'm trying to blend in, doing 'research,' and I'm just getting heckled left and right."
The actor just gave off a laugh while recounting his experiences inside the prison cells but admitted that he was nervous during that time.
