The reality show star Kim Kardashian gave birth to a baby boy and to name him in honor of her late father, Robert Kardashian who died of cancer at the age of 59 in 2003.
The "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star and husband Kanye West welcomed their second child on Saturday, December 5.
As for the first name of the newborn baby, the couple hasn't decided yet but they already have a list of names. US Magazine said if the happy couple needs help in choosing a name for their son, the name Easton has already been a favorite in the Twitterverse that quickly began trending after the birth of their second child.
"I do like the name Easton, Easton West," Kim told Ellen DeGeneres. "I don't think my husband likes that name, but I do like it. I don't think we'll go another direction. It's definitely not 'South', every time someone says South, I just roll my eyes."
According to E! Online, the reality star has revealed before Thanksgiving that she'd have to get a C-section this time around because her baby was turned in the womb. Luckily, she was able to undergo a procedure to have the baby turned in the correct position, head pointing down.
Kim checked into the hospital this weekend and underwent a procedure called an ECV (External Cephalic Version), to manually turn the baby from a breech position to a head-down position. Kim was relieved with the procedure and hoped to deliver the baby naturally.
Fans of Kim Kardashian were all aware that she and Kanye wanted to expand their family, but also knew it wasn't easy for them. Kim was open about struggling with her fertility.
"I didn't know that I was going to be so open with my fertility challenges," Kim admitted. "But meeting people at my fertility doctor's office who are going through the same things I'm going through, I thought, 'Why not share my story?' It's been really emotional."
