Most of the time, when phones get into the water, they are already of no use at all. What makes it more frustrating is if the phone was dropped accidentally to dirty water. Other than changing the most of the part of the entire mobile phone, there is no other way to bring it back to life or be able to clean it thoroughly with soap and water.

However, that problem will probably be gone anytime soon as Japanese company, Kyocera, introduces us to another innovative invention - a washable smartphone. It will be launched in Japan on December 11 at 57,240 Yen which is equivalent to at least US$465.

However, the idea behind the washable smartphone, according to The Monitor Daily, is basically on the terms on how to be able to wash one’s smartphone with soap and water when germs and bacteria already are infesting it. Apparently, smartphones are seen as one of the many things people use that are infested heavily with microbes as several studies show.

Digno rafre, the company’s breakthrough concept features a waterproof casing that would ensure that the said device will be able to take any forms of water sources. What separates it from waterproof mobile phones that are already in the market is the fact that you can wash it with soap and water.

The mobile phone also has an external memory of up to 128 GB, 3000 mAh battery and works under Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. Moreover, it has a 4G LTE plus WiMAX and VoLTE capabilities. Its touchscreen is secured with Dragontrail X technology.

With the new and innovative idea from Kyocera, smartphones company might take a higher leap in making their products more waterproofed.

What do you think of the new concept from Kyocera? Do you think that the American market will accept the Digno rafre?
