A lot of "Desperate Housewives" followers and non-followers have been wondering about Eva Longoria's comeback for quite some time already. It has already been three years since the late TV hit aired their final episode and Longoria thinks that it's about time she makes a comeback. "I'm so excited. This project is really special. The minute I read the first draft I was like, oh my gosh, I have to play to her," Longoria tells Glamour in an exclusive interview.

Apparently, "Desperate Housewives" star, Eva Longoria, makes a comeback with her newest primetime starring role as Ana Sofia in NBC's "Telenovela."

The half hour comedy featuring wind machines, a single camera angle, and Longoria's hotness is predicted to give the office comedy genre a makeover.

As usual, the new series was aired after "The Voice" to push viewers to check the new show. After the successful airing of its two-episode preview after "The Voice", "Telenovela" moves to its regular Monday 8:30pm slot starting January 4, next year.

The plot of the new show rotates around Longoria's character, Ana Maria. Ana is the star of a made-up VivaVision Spanish-speaking soap opera show, "Las Leyes de Pasión." The fun starts when viewers realize that the Spanish soap opera's lead actress is not so good with Spanish words.

"It's my life story. I didn't grow up speaking Spanish so I learned it later in life. I try my best but I don't care if I say the wrong word. I learn from my mistakes. Also, this helps make Sofia relatable for the mainstream audience," Longoria shares how the character was such a good one for her in an interview.

So far, there has been good reviews from the 2-episode premier by most of the viewers.

In the first episode, Viva vision casts Ana's ex-husband, Xavier, to co-star as her leading man. On the first episode, tension has been established and NBC has no plans of holding back, exposing the show's tone on the first episode. Washington Post says, "Sure, you might be able to guess what happens next, but I promise it's more fun to watch."
