The "Final Fantasy VII" remake might not be possible, according to reports. The EA director explains why they doubt they could release the remake and why it is not possible to do so.

Square Enix, the game developer behind the successful "Final Fantasy" game franchise, are busy with some tasks non-related to the development of the seventh game installment of "Final Fantasy," Kotaku reported.

Based from their report, they said that Yoshinori Kitase, the original director of the "Final Fantasy" game, said that the work needed for the remake is bigger than what is currently possible. Because of the foreseen problem with one single release, they wanted to make a division of the game remake. This is to prevent them from compromising the promised content for their diehard gamers around the globe.

"From the beginning, we thought a Final Fantasy VII would be bigger than a single release," Kitase said. "If we took everything that's in the original game and remade it at that quality, we couldn't get it all on a single release."

Tetsuya Nomura, the game's character designer, added, "If you did get it into a single release, there would be things we'd have to put into a shortened compilation. Since we thought there would be stuff we would probably have to pare down and supplemental things we probably couldn't add, we decided to divide it up, concluding that we have to do a remake that's fully packed with content."

Kotaku did mention the director's view on dividing the remake of "Final Fantasy VII." They said that even with the foreseen problem with making the one-time release, Square Enix will still pursue the plan. They won't divide the game and the substance will be the same as the original, contrasting the previous statements made.

Square Enix already announced earlier that they will be adding something on the release. So they were not really kidding when they said that the "Final Fantasy VII" remake will not be exactly the same as the original game.

"Final Fantasy VII" is a role-playing game developed by Square Enix which players can enjoy in PS4 console. Rumor has it that the game may soon be available in other platforms like PS4, PS Portable, PC and iOS.
