After 14 seasons on television, the possibility of 'Family Guy" landing on the big screen becomes more likely as Seth MacFarlane recently posted hints about it on Twitter. Fans have been very excited in seeing the cartoon series in the movies, and their wish might actually be granted very soon.

Seth MacFarlane's Twitter RT posted last Dec. 3 sent "Family Guy's" fans on cloud nine after he hinted that a movie adaptation of the cartoon series will come soon. He retweeted, "@GingeThink @SethMacFarlane when are you going to stop fannying and actually do a Family Guy Movie? Soon. Soon," TV Line reports.

A DVD movie of the franchise was already released back in 2007 titled "Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story." It was even featured on television as a three-part mini-series highlighting Stewie's adventure in finding his father, Movie News Guide reports. No further detail about a movie was released after that. It was MacFarlane's recent Twitter response that brought back the hype about the "Family Guy" series making it to the movies.

Although no details and spoilers were revealed on the plot of the movie adaptation, there are rumors that the movie might be based on the "Family Guy" game in the series that has a "Simpson" style layout. The two cartoon series have been compared frequently in the past. However, MacFarlane's series offers something even deeper and unique when it comes to the episodes featured in the show.

Even without a concrete date or plot in talks, the possibility of "Family Guy" making it to the big screen marks Fox TV's first time in sending a comedy series to the cinemas. Speculations on whether a movie adaptation of the series will make it big in the silver screen are also making rounds online.

Seth MacFarlane's revelation on Twitter brings hope to fans regarding a possible "Family Guy" movie. With no definite date and plot revealed for the possible adaptation, fans are expected to watch out MacFarlane's social media account for more details on the said movie.
