Yacht Club, the “Shovel Knight” game developer, just made a recent announcement that put a big smile on the fans. The “Shovel Knight Amiibo” will be released to European fans on Dec. 11, and Jan. 8, 2016 for North American fans. It will not be able to jam with the “Super Mario Bros” gang, but will have cool offerings within its own game.
Yacht Club has decided to have different release dates for the two continents for the simple reason that they do not want the fans to run out of the Amiibo figures. Also, they are discouraging North American fans to get the European version. They are ensuring that there will be an ample supply for everybody, and do not want the fans to pay more than its suggested price, which is $12.99, £10.99, and EUR 14.99.
“On that note, if you’re interested in picking up the “Shovel Knight Amiibo,” then we’d like to implore you to wait for it to release in your territory. There will be plenty and it will not be a limited run, so please don’t feel pressured into importing or buying from scalpers. Don’t spend more than the retail price!” the official statement said.
“Shovel Knight Amiibo” will be adding a lot of features to the game that includes a maximum level of 50 for a Custom Knight, a transferable game between the Nintendo DS and Wii U gaming console, a customizable look for one’s “Shovel Knight” and a whole lot more.
Fans got excited when the news came out first that the character will be playable in the “Super Mario Bros” game. Unfortunately, the tweet that initially announced the treat was taken down immediately, and Yacht Club denied the information, iDigital Times reported.
Fans are still hopeful to get a chance to bring the Amiibo “Shovel Knight” to the “Super Mario Bros” game. That will be the best holiday gift that a super hardcore fan can get.
