It is a little bit sketchy, but it seems that the upcoming intergalactic sci-fi movie drama of Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Patt, “Passengers” is having a casting call for actors, models and extras that will work on a bar scene.
Scheduled to be filmed in Atlanta, Georgia, the VIP bar scene will include a large range of actors with different ethnic backgrounds, Hispanic, Indian, African and a few more. The casting directors are looking for individuals who are between 30 to 50 years of age, the Project Casting posted.
As far as the movie plot is concerned, the “Passengers” basic premise is a transport spacecraft that is on its way to a distant colony, but encounters a malfunction in one of its sleeping chambers. Pratt’s character is then awakened 60 years early from its cryogenic sleep. Now Pratt has decided to also wake up a second passenger, Lawrence’s character, for fear of dying alone on that spacecraft, Fashion Style reported.
The “Passengers” story is actually based on a book of the same title, and fans are a little bit skeptical if the movie will stay true to the book. There was a third passenger involved in the story, a short role but very important. Right now, the third passenger will be played by Michael Sheen.
Meanwhile, a photo recently popped out on Instagram by a user named Suzettebab, that is said to be taken on the set of "Passengers." The image shows an interior of a spacecraft with a signage printed on it. It says “Gold Cabins, 431-459, Concierge Lounge 4 and GC Wellness Center," which can all be found on “Level 4” of the said spacecraft.
The upcoming movie also stars Laurence Fishburne of “The Matrix Series,” Inder Kumar of "Jurassic World" and “Furious 7.” Morten Tyldum is at the helm with Jon Spaihts being responsible for the screenplay.
“Passengers” is set to hit movie theaters on Dec. 21, 2016.
