As a treat to their guests this Christmas season, the Ritz-Carlton Hotels is designing their hotel branches across the US with edible decorations.

The luxurious chain of hotels is building fancy Christmas themed gingerbread structures among their hotel branches to entertain their guests during the holidays. The chain takes the opportunity this season to show their creativity, and make lasting impressions to those who are staying with them as these are mostly composed of families.

The designs are not only limited to Christmas theme as the company is committed to reach out to different demographics. A representative from Ritz-Carlton said, "As much as it is a religious holiday, Christmas is also a celebration of the season that can be enjoyed by all. The lights, the displays, the whole winter wonderland motif are by and large universally enjoyed."

This is part of the hotel's marketing strategies especially since travellers and potential guests this time of the year expect holiday décor and gimmicks. Through unique designs, the locations increase their visibility and they stand out from the rest of the fancy accommodations all over the country.

One of the most creative decors is the huge edible gingerbread pirate ship which will be docked in the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island. Structures made of the said pasty will also be displayed in South Beach Miami, Sarasota and Naples, and in San Diego, New Orleans and Westchester. Other displays include a 20-foot hand sculpted sand tree filled with sand seahorses, sand dollars and starfish. Also, children are certainly in for a treat as the hotel will also feature glass displays of scenes from the box office animated movie 'Frozen' from Disney. The San Diego branch will also experience real snow for two hours daily.
