Markeiff Morris was not happy when his twin brother, Marcus Morris, was traded by the Phoenix Suns to Detroit Pistons. He has been criticizing the organization and wants to be traded too.
In a report from CBS Sports, Marc Stein reported that the Houston Rockets are interested in acquiring the Markeiff to strengthen their team that was not able to meet their expectations in the first quarter of the season. Once the trade comes in to fruition, the Phoenix Suns would likely get Terrence Jones back.
Markeiff has an average of 12.1 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, although his shooting is only 39 percent from the field. He did not play during the team's 95-93 loss Sunday to the Memphis Grizzlies.
On the other hand, Jones has an average of 11.4 points and 5.4 rebounds and playing for 25.9 minutes. He has a better shooting percentage compared to Markieff from both field and from three-point range, and good in defense. He just cannot stay healthy at the moment after battling with injuries from the last two seasons.
According to SB Nation, in November, Marcus told reporters that his brother does not look happy with the Phoenix Suns. "I know him, he just doesn't look comfortable," Morris said then, via the Arizona Republic. "He don't look too excited."
Last month, the Detroit Free Press Reported that the Detroit Pistons were "monitoring" the condition in Phoenix Suns; looking for an option of trading Markeiff to reunite the twins.
But, it is unlikely any trade gets done before Dec. 15, when the players who signed new deals during the summer are entitled to be included in trades. However, with Markeiff having difficulties and the Phoenix Suns likely being prepared to move on without him, a breath of fresh air may eventually the thing for both sides.
