Larry Stylinson fans have done it once again! After setting the record for being the most popular 'ship on Tumblr in 2014, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson have been once again hailed with the same title for 2015. Was One Direction's new song, "Olivia" written as an ode to Larry?
Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles aka "Larry Stylinson" has been named by Tumblr as the most popular ship of 2015, Teen Vogue reported. This news has made Larry fans all over the world rejoice over yet another milestone. Despite Zayn Malik's recent statements regarding Larry Stylinson, fans continue to believe that there is something secret and special going on between the two 1D members.
According to the outlet, Larry Stylinson continues to make rounds on the Internet and has outlasted any of the boys' relationships in the past. While news about Styles' relationships with Taylor Swift and Kendall Jenner has come and gone, and news about Tomlinson's ex-girlfriend, Eleanor Calder has become a thing of the past, Larry continues to be a hot topic among fans.
Larry shippers are believed to have a hawk's eye for seeing things in clips and photos, which might be taken as evidence to prove that the so-called romance between the two is real. Just recently, Movie News Guide reported that there is an ongoing rumor, which claims that One Direction's new song, "Olivia" was written as an ode to Larry Stylinson.
Styles reportedly wrote the song "Olivia" and fans immediately related the song's title to an earlier tweet from Styles and Tomlinson. According to the outlet, both Tomlinson and Styles tweeted "#olive" at exactly 5:03 am on Aug. 10, 2011. The word "olive" is said to sound like the phrase, "I Love" when said using the British accent.
The outlet noted, however, that other news sites believe that the song is dedicated to Styles' ex-girlfriend, Taylor Swift, as the lyrics of the song somewhat resemble that of the "Shake It Off" singer's song, "Clean."
