Lindsay Lohan surprised Duran Duran fans at the jam-packed O2 Arena in London on Tuesday as she performed on stage as a special celebrity guest of the British '80s band.

The 29-year-old actress joined the new wave band as they sang songs from their new track "Danceophobia" as well as an encore performance of their song Rio, an article from E! Online reported.

Lohan has also helped record the former 1982 track which is featured on Paper Dolls, Duran Duran's newest album, the band's fourteenth studio album from Warner Bros. Records were released in September 2015.

The "Mean Girls" actress showed off her singing and performing talent as she sang and danced wearing a glittering peacock blue crop top tied at the front and matching flared pants. Lindsay sang alongside singer Simon Le Bon. She later made an outfit change and was seen in a glittering gold mini dress. The audience applauded the performance and seemed to be pleased at the actress' musical comeback.

Lohan had a short-lived singing career 11 years ago. Her debut studio album Speak, which had tracks such as Over, First, Rumors and Anything but Me was released in 2004. The once troubled actress moved to London in 2014 to star in a production of David Mamet's Speed-the-Plow.

Lindsay Lohan is very open about what she feels in social media and moments before she appeared before the Duran Duran fans at the O2, she posted a selfie on her Instagram page with a caption "Getting ready for the stage at o2 tonight with duranduran." She also posted a video from the show.

The actress also posted a photo of herself preparing for the performance; the photo showed her body completely immersed in ice as she is a fan of cryotherapy treatments.

Other Instagram posts were about her appreciation for a revival in her career saying "What an honour, God works in mysterious ways." She also posted another photo of herself on stage with the British band with a caption "God Bless being a strong woman," she said. "Anyone who says different, doesn't know anything about a true struggle and how to succeed with good people around helping you. #oneday@atime."
